As an Assistant Community Manager at Passport Luxury Apartment Homes, a brand new premier class A 344-unit mid-rise community just outside of Washington, DC and minutes to Dulles International Airport, you will play a key role in our property operations team. You will be responsible for managing the property and on-site staff in the absence of the Community Manager, ensuring that the community is presented in a compelling way to prospective residents, and assisting them in finding the right apartment home. You will also manage the community's revenue and expenses to ensure that the budget and financial guidelines are met under the direction of the Community Manager. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of bank deposits, administering late and non-sufficient check charges, maintaining accurate resident records, and posting all rents, deposits, and fees. You will issue appropriate notices such as late payments and evictions, monitor local market trends, and report and follow up on service requests with the maintenance team. Building strong working relationships with our residents by providing outstanding customer service will be a key aspect of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the property and on-site staff in the absence of the Community Manager
  • Touring and presenting the community to prospective residents
  • Managing the community's revenue and expenses to meet budget and financial guidelines
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of bank deposits
  • Administering late and non-sufficient check charges
  • Maintaining accurate resident records and posting all rents, deposits, and fees
  • Issuing appropriate notices such as late payments and evictions
  • Monitoring local market trends and updating property comparables
  • Reporting and following up on service requests with the maintenance team
  • Building strong working relationships with residents through outstanding customer service

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of related multifamily property management experience (preferred but not required)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with property management software (Yardi) preferred
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service roles
