About the position

As an Assistant Community Manager at Conifer Realty, you will play a vital role in the operations of the leasing office at Verona Flats Apartments, a brand new property with 95 units. This full-time position requires you to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and you will report directly to the Community Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in marketing and leasing apartments, promoting positive relations with residents and the public, ensuring compliance with housing programs, and performing various office tasks as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying new tenants, providing tours of the community, and managing all aspects of move-ins according to inspection checklists. You will also handle maintenance requests to ensure timely completion and maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained community for residents. Daily activities will involve collaboration with the Community Manager, the community team, and key partners in Maintenance, Compliance, and Property Management, as well as outside housing authority representatives. You will ensure that all aspects of apartment turnovers, leasing, and compliance are met, contributing to the stable fiscal operation of the property. Additionally, when residents choose to leave, you will assist with move-outs and actively seek new residents to fill vacancies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with move-outs and actively seek new residents when current residents leave.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ years prior apartment management experience, preferably with Low-income Tax Credit and Section 8 experience.
  • Resident recertification experience preferred in affordable housing.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong customer service skills to interact with team, residents, prospective residents, housing authority representatives, and visitors.
