About the position

Join our Stadium Village Apartment team as the Assistant Community Manager! Stadium Village offers top quality University of Minnesota student housing, just one block from campus. With competitive pay up to $24 per hour, we are seeking a candidate who is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and contribute to the growth of our community. The Assistant Community Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the property, focusing on both resident satisfaction and property maintenance. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and offers a dynamic work environment where you can develop your skills in property management and customer service. As the Assistant Community Manager, you will oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring that all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures, and grounds work are completed as needed. You will also be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of maintenance and housekeeping supplies, testing and scheduling inspections on fire protection systems, and monitoring the plumbing system to ensure compliance with codes. Your role will involve providing reports to the Community Manager and Corporate Office, as well as assisting in keeping all common areas neat, clean, and safe. You will also be required to perform maintenance duties based on your experience, including work orders and grounds work, while providing exceptional customer service to incoming calls and current tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program and ensure all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures, and groundwork is completed as needed.
  • Order and maintain inventory of maintenance and housekeeping supplies.
  • Test and schedule inspections on the fire protection systems as required by code.
  • Monitor and oversee the maintenance of the plumbing system, including monitoring and adjusting the resident accessible domestic hot water system to ensure code compliance.
  • Review monthly reports on the Preventative Maintenance program and follow up/inspect as necessary.
  • Provide reporting to the Community Manager and Corporate Office.
  • Assist in keeping all common areas neat, clean, and safe, and monitor this.
  • Ensure the work order system is updated daily and all work orders are completed or commented on.
  • Perform maintenance duties based on experience, including work orders, Preventative maintenance tasks, and grounds work.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to incoming calls and current tenants.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in property management.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic building maintenance, landscaping, and grounds and housekeeping practices and procedures.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
