The Assistant Community Manager at Towne Properties plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the Quail Run Apartments in Columbus, IN. This position involves welcoming prospective residents, conducting community tours, and ensuring the property is well-maintained and ready for new leases. The role also includes supporting financial and operational goals, managing resident records, and assisting the Community Manager with various property management duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective residents and provide community tours.
• Manage lease explanations and support daily property operations.
• Ensure the property and apartments are in top condition for new leases.
• Help build and lead a cohesive team to achieve property objectives.
• Conduct leasing activities and maintain accurate records in Yardi.
• Oversee move-ins, move-outs, and prepare lease paperwork.
• Maintain resident records, including tracking payments for rent, deposits, and application fees.
• Issue necessary notices such as past due payments and eviction notices.
• Prepare reports, manage resident files, and assist with renewals and community events.
• Stay updated on local competition and marketing trends.
• Contribute to financial goals by managing rent collection and delinquent accounts.
• Assist the Community Manager with various property management duties.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in property management or leasing, ideally in multifamily housing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer service.
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto-insurance.
