About the position

The Assistant Community Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the leasing and property management teams to achieve leasing, marketing, resident management, revenue, and customer service goals. This position is focused on ensuring resident satisfaction and maintaining high standards of service within the community. The Assistant Community Manager actively participates in various tasks and responsibilities to foster a welcoming environment and drive occupancy rates.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace the company culture and provide a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
  • Respond quickly to all complaints, questions, and requests from residents.
  • Seek assistance from the community manager and maintenance staff to resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code policy.
  • Drive leasing efforts to achieve occupancy goals at or above budgeted expectations.
  • Direct the leasing team to ensure all leads are responded to quickly and professionally.
  • Log all incoming traffic using resident management software and complete follow-up contacts daily.
  • Possess superior product knowledge, including pricing, availability, and property amenities.
  • Maintain awareness of the local market and complete market surveys as required.
  • Ensure timely delivery of renewal offers and work to bolster resident retention.
  • Organize community events to foster a strong sense of resident appreciation.
  • Oversee rent collection, ensuring timely posting of payments and collection of late fees.
  • Manage resident delinquency and work with past due residents to collect payments.
  • Monitor online reviews, social media, and property advertising for accuracy.
  • Learn the community manager's role and fill in when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in property management.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and property management software.
  • Basic computer knowledge including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in social media and technology.
  • Ability to act independently and make decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and other unscheduled time if needed.
