About the position

The Assistant Community Manager at RPM Living plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring resident satisfaction, and maintaining effective communication. This position involves greeting prospects, processing applications, managing leases and renewals, handling rent collections and evictions, and promoting the property through social media. Responsibilities

  • Greet and qualify prospects professionally using guest cards in Lead Management Software.
  • Assist prospects with applications and deposits, adhering to company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Keep an updated availability report, process applications including credit checks and rental history verification, and follow up with applicants.
  • Show apartments and close sales, prepare them for move-ins, and provide community orientation.
  • Manage lease renewals, send renewal notices, handle move-outs, and keep property management software updated.
  • Manage rental collections, enforce lease terms, track fees, and initiate eviction when necessary.
  • Promote resident satisfaction and retention by responding to complaints and requests promptly.
  • Conduct market research by surveying competing properties and implementing outreach marketing.
  • Maintain an active and effective social media presence for the property.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of relevant experience, training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service or apartment leasing.
  • Background in accounting combined with customer service is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management tools.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management software.
