About the position

The Assistant Community Manager at Summit Property Management Group is a part-time role focused on supporting the operations of an independent senior living community. This position involves leasing and marketing apartments, managing resident relations, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations. The Assistant Community Manager will work closely with the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, serving as a primary point of contact for potential residents and contributing to the overall success of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Leasing of all apartments
  • Conducting community tours and marketing events, including hosting open houses and attending trade shows
  • Communicating with prospects and guiding them through the leasing process
  • Maintaining waitlists, prospects, and turnovers for the community
  • Ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations
  • Processing all move-ins in property management software
  • Preparing monthly management reports with the Community Manager
  • Developing and executing a marketing plan in collaboration with the Community Manager
  • Advertising according to the marketing plan and making adjustments as needed
  • Planning and executing resident events such as meals, classes, outings, and parties
  • Completing annual lease renewals and necessary administrative tasks
  • Performing any other tasks related to the community's operations as requested by the Company

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in property leasing
  • Experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC) preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • High competency in learning new computer and technology skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with MRI or other real estate software preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in affordable housing and LIHTC programs
  • Familiarity with real estate software
