About the position

The Assistant Construction Estimator and Writer position at Your Home Expert involves providing expert estimates for water damage restoration and construction claims. Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the DFW area to assess and document water damage restoration and construction claims.
• Prepare precise and comprehensive estimates using Xactimate and Symbility software.
• Inspect job sites, evaluate scopes of work, and document all damages thoroughly.
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters, project managers, and clients to ensure estimates meet required standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service during on-site and remote client interactions.
• Stay up to date on industry standards, building codes, and best practices.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Xactimate and Symbility is required.
• Proven experience in estimating water damage restoration and construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, processes, and industry standards.
• Ability to travel extensively within the DFW area and manage a mobile workflow.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interactions.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work after-hours or weekends as needed to address time-sensitive claims.
