Toll Brothers, America's leading luxury home builder, seeks an Assistant Construction Manager Intern for one of our new home communities located in Orlando, Florida. In this role, the Assistant Construction Manager Intern will assist in the supervision of all on-site construction, including the scheduling of sub-contractors on the job, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Some construction experience is required. Other responsibilities of the intern may include obtaining all permits necessary to construct houses, ordering all materials required to construct houses, and working with the Assistant Construction Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Manager to set up and monitor the construction schedule. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision of all on-site construction.
  • Schedule sub-contractors on the job.
  • Resolve day-to-day problems on the job site.
  • Inspect all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Obtain all permits necessary to construct houses.
  • Order all materials required to construct houses.
  • Work with the Assistant Construction Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Manager to set up and monitor the construction schedule.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year majoring in construction management or a related field.
  • Experience in residential construction management.
  • Strong organizational and people skills.
  • Basic knowledge of production homebuilding.
