About the position

The Assistant Construction Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the construction and colocation processes for wireless communication sites. This position involves planning, coordinating, and supervising multiple projects to ensure they meet customer specifications within the required timeframe and budget. The Assistant Construction Supervisor acts as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and adherence to safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, prioritizing, and organizing material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the pre-construction process to identify site-level scope of work required by the client.
  • Attend bid walks and submit documentation to management as required.
  • Facilitate effective communication within construction services and other applicable departments.
  • Assist with compiling job level information and financial summaries for Work in Progress reviews.
  • Ensure all appropriate building permits, NTP(s), and lease status approvals are received prior to initiating construction.
  • Coordinate delivery of material and equipment to job sites.
  • Update all applicable construction services project/program databases.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on customer specifications and produce quality sites.
  • Assign, review, submit, and provide feedback to subcontractors and self-perform crews on customer closeout documentation.
  • Track customer and SBA provided assets and inventory as needed.
  • Maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices.
  • Ensure that all work progresses according to schedule and notify management of any issues.
  • Provide documentation to Management for preparation of project deliverables to client.
  • Assist with building permit pickup, inspections, and closure.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, summaries, proposals, and correspondence for management and clients.
  • Assist the Project Controls Group with recurring tasks such as reviewing purchase orders, billing, and project budgets.
  • Assist management with confirmation of hours worked and work performed by employees and subcontractors.
  • Review purchase order requests for accuracy and track pending requests.
  • Assist with the coordination of new hire onboarding and training as needed.
  • Assist management to develop and build subcontractor base.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma/GED in related field of study; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 year of construction or equipment installation experience; Wireless telecommunications experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid Government Issued Driver's License.
  • OSHA 10Hr Safety Course preferred.
  • CDL preferred.
  • First Aid Certification (Adult) preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferred.
  • Forklift Certification preferred.
