About the position

The Assistant Content Marketing Manager at Bankrate is a pivotal role within the Authority Building Team (ABT), focusing on enhancing the content marketing strategy across key financial verticals. This position requires a blend of creative and analytical skills to drive impactful marketing campaigns, collaborate with various stakeholders, and utilize data to inform decision-making. The role emphasizes building relationships, executing campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to ensure the success of content initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate various data sources to identify opportunities for content marketing.
  • Design and pitch campaigns that align with the strategic goals of the team.
  • Contribute to campaign briefs and develop spec sheets for campaign execution.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external publishers, managing end-to-end communication.
  • Monitor and update project management systems for visibility and progress tracking.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across SEO, editorial, product, and design teams.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities by connecting stakeholder needs to ongoing initiatives.
  • Assist with reporting on various metrics and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Set benchmarks for measuring success and forecast future performance.
  • Innovate and recommend new initiatives to enhance impact.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in Content Marketing or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and experience synthesizing data for strategic action plans.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong accountability and communication skills across functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Experience with social media platforms to amplify content.
  • Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, Looker, and Google Drive.
