Responsibilities

  • Responsible for month-end close process with timely and accurate Financial Statements delivered to Senior Management
  • Maintains Financial Statements, consisting of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows
  • Prepares weekly check runs for approval
  • Maintains Cash Flow, Budgets, and Forecast Models with respective variance analysis reporting
  • Supervision of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and processes
  • Provides work directives, employee training, coaching, mentoring, supervisory guidance, and accountability
  • Assists in maintaining Accounting System, including monthly financial reports and closing processes
  • Reviews deposit reports generated by A/R for verification and confirmation relative to bank register spreadsheets
  • Completes journal entries for month-end and other accounting-related month-end functions
  • Assists with inventory adjustments and valuation analysis, as necessary
  • Assists with annual budget preparations
  • Prepares and conducts bank reconciliations
  • Assists in maintaining records for the company's present financial condition

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with prior experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller in a manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience supporting organizations of 50+ staff members
  • Exceptional attention to detail, self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize work for self and direct reports
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, phone, electronic)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Epicor is a plus
