About the position

The Assistant Controller - Loans at Craft3 is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting related to loans receivable and payable. The Assistant Controller collaborates closely with the Controller and CFO, ensuring successful audits and tax compliance, while also managing a distributed accounting team that operates remotely. The position emphasizes communication, mentoring, and recognition of team accomplishments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting for loans receivable and payable.
• Support the development and compliance of internal controls and policies.
• Collaborate with the Controller and CFO on audits and tax returns.
• Manage a distributed accounting team working remotely.
• Communicate frequently with team members to motivate and recognize accomplishments.

Requirements

• Experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance.
• Ability to manage and mentor a remote team.
• Excellent communication skills.
