About the position

The Assistant Controller at Bosque Disposal Systems, LLC is responsible for routine and ad hoc accounting tasks, financial analyses, and financial planning. This role involves close collaboration with the CFO and regional management, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards. The Assistant Controller will manage month-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and assist in budget monitoring and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly/quarterly bank and financial reporting packages including regional financial statements and external financial reporting.
• Assist in company-wide financial statement preparation.
• Manage the month-end close to meet the Company deadline.
• Analyze accounting records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards defined within the department and GAAP.
• Perform variance analytics monthly on G/L accounts and communicate results to senior management.
• Maintain various balance sheet accounts and prepare accounting estimates.
• Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and answering auditor questions.
• Assist in preparation of the company's weekly forecast and budget monitoring models.
• Assist departments/regions in preparing budgets and operational/cash flow projections.
• Create charts and graphs using computer technology for financial analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• College Degree in Accounting
• 5 to 7 years work experience including public accounting experience
• CPA certification attained or currently preparing for the CPA exam
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong internal control and process knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Excel
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Strong skills in database report writing software, such as MS Access and SSRS
