About the position

The Assistant Controller at FinTrust Connect is a pivotal role within a dynamic financial organization, responsible for overseeing various aspects of tax, compliance, and accounting operations. This position involves financial reporting, internal controls, and policy development, providing an opportunity to significantly impact the company's financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process, including preparing work papers, supporting documentation, and adjusting entries.
• Perform detailed financial analysis and explain variances from budgets or unexpected amounts.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, Board packages, and management reports.
• Contribute to corporate consolidations and the development of accounting policies.
• Prepare and manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze client profitability and adjust pricing as necessary.
• Oversee external audit processes and support Tax and Compliance teams.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting.
• A minimum of 2 years of public accounting or Assistant Controller experience.
• CPA designation.

Nice-to-haves

• Big 4 experience and familiarity with Lawson and/or Blackline Accounting Software preferred.

• Competitive salary range of $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year.
