Under limited guidance from the Principal Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for the management of the corporate accounting function including general ledger management and maintenance, accounts receivable/payable, reconciliation and control of general ledger accounts, and fixed assets accounting and reporting. Your primary responsibility will be the management of the corporate reporting needs for the Corporate Controller, and you will serve as a resource to the Line of Business Finance Teams to maximize their performance and contribution to the business lines they serve. You will act as a liaison to the Finance Systems and Treasury departments and assist in coordinating internal and external audit examinations. In this role, you will manage and direct the daily operation of the corporate accounting department, including general ledger management, accounts payable, fixed assets accounting, reconciliation, controls, and related systems. You will also manage the internal control environment surrounding financial accounting and reporting, including SOX and other controls. Overseeing and directing the corporate consolidation process and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements will be key responsibilities. You will oversee the preparation of monthly corporate, enterprise management reporting, and Board of Director reporting of financial performance. Additionally, you will implement all new accounting/reporting bulletins from FASB, SEC, OCC, and the Fed Reserve. Serving as a corporate liaison with field external auditors and regulatory examiners during audits, examinations, or inquiries will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will serve as an internal resource to DOFs, Treasury, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • 10-12 years of corporate accounting and management (SEC) reporting experience required.
  • 7-10 years of experience managing consolidated financial statements and accounting analysts required.
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant by start date required.
