About the position

The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of concrete plants through regular maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating maintenance activities across various business units, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality output.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on all equipment and facilities to keep concrete plants operational.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance activities across various AVR business units.
• Inspect, diagnose, and correct plant issues, coordinating with subcontractors when necessary.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on ready-mix plants, conveyors, mixers, loaders, and recyclers.
• Perform emergency maintenance including welding, replacing parts, and changing bags on dust collectors.
• Engage in metal fabrication for plant operations and weld/cut on equipment as needed.
• Complete all required paperwork including reports, maintenance schedules, work orders, and employee time sheets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated welding experience.
• Proven experience at a ready-mix plant.
• 10+ years of heavy machine maintenance experience.
• Organized with maintenance and inspection plans, documentation, and reporting.
