As the Assistant Controller at WesleyLife, you'll play a pivotal role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes. You will lead monthly financial closings, oversee cash disbursements, and manage tax liabilities. You will serve as the financial reporting system expert, providing training and support to new staff. Additionally, you will develop and refine methodologies for cost and revenue accounting, strengthen internal controls, and ensure accuracy in asset and grant reporting. Your role will also involve recommending and implementing new accounting policies and procedures, coordinating with external and state auditors as needed, and overseeing general accounting functions to ensure GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting. Furthermore, you will provide financial analysis and strategic advice to organizational leaders, lead, train, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and implement new processes. You will assist in annual audit processes and integrate data reporting across service lines.
