About the position

The Assistant Controller at Mollenhour Gross, LLC will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's accounting and financial reporting processes. This position is designed for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in tax accounting and financial management, who will contribute to the company's culture of compliance and ethical behavior while managing various financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Grow and strengthen the existing culture of compliance, ethical behavior, and good judgment.
• Execute consolidated financial reporting.
• Administer payroll and assist with payroll tax reporting.
• Perform daily bookkeeping operations at closely-held entities, including journal entries, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, consolidation, and closing of the books.
• Oversee and manage the payment of accounts payable (AP) and the collection of accounts receivable (AR).
• Assist and support accounting leadership with various projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience with tax accounting and tax reporting.
• Strong numeracy, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to drive action and complete tasks efficiently.
• Service-oriented mindset with a passion for financial reporting and accounting.
