About the position
The Assistant Controller at Silvi Materials is responsible for overseeing daily general ledger accounting activities and assisting the Corporate Controller in providing accurate financial information for strategic planning. Responsibilities
- Lead daily general ledger accounting activities.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and operating reports.
- Supervise staff and senior level accountants.
- Assist in the year-end audit process.
- Provide management with accurate and timely financial information for decision making.
- Assist in improving accounting and internal control systems.
- Oversee regulatory reporting and compliance.
- Manage special projects and assignments as directed by the Controller.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, analytical, and management skills.
- Extensive experience with accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, or auditing.
