About The Position

The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial period close, preparing internal and external financial statements, and conducting financial analysis and reporting. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while supporting the Controller and CFO in various financial operations and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is required.
• CPA, CRIS, CCIFP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform process management by monitoring financial activities and using process tools such as financial statements and sales/productivity reports.
• Analyze and prepare financial reports for all business units.
• Interface with auditing firms during external audits and assist the Controller and CFO as needed.
• Prepare tax returns for all assigned company locations.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis on a monthly basis.
• Develop and implement automation and process enhancements for operational systems and procedures.
• Oversee department operations within areas of responsibility and expertise.
• Review evaluations of Partners in subordinate functions and make hiring, termination, or promotional recommendations.
• Ensure the business unit is staffed with qualified financial staff with the necessary technical skills and certifications.
• Familiarize functional managers and Partners with company rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with guidelines and codes.
• Maintain an efficient system of policies and procedures for treasury activities and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain strong communications with banks and financial service providers.
• Develop treasury reporting dashboards for stakeholders and track KPIs.
• Manage excess operating cash to optimize interest revenue.
