About the position

The Assistant Controller position in Honolulu, Hawaii, focuses on managing financial activities within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing financial policies that align with the company's business strategies. This role is crucial for overseeing the accounting department and ensuring the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and systems that ensure alignment with the company's business strategies
• Manage the preparation of financial reports, detailing the status and performance of all financial activities within the organization
• Assist in financial and tax audits, as well as general ledger preparation
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and legal requirements
• Assist in the direction of the organization's financial activities
• Aid in the preparation and management of the company's budget
• Use accounting software systems, including ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and Crystal Reports, to process financial transactions
• Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Perform auditing and billing functions as necessary.

Requirements

• Excellent proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Familiarity and experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
• Must have experience working with Concur.
• Should possess knowledge of Crystal Reports.
• Understanding and experience of DCAA is necessary.
• Must be capable of handling all Accounting Functions efficiently.
• Should have experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
• Should have in-depth knowledge and experience in Auditing.
• Must be capable of managing all Billing Functions.
