About the position

The Assistant Coordinator of Maintenance Services at Osseo Area Schools is responsible for ensuring that facilities and equipment are well-maintained to support student success. This role involves providing leadership to the maintenance team, collaborating with Facilities Operations, and overseeing preventive maintenance processes while ensuring compliance with district standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide direction to maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures for HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and grounds equipment.
  • Manage department resources, monitor budgets, and recommend capital replacement plans.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair work, collaborating with contractors and reviewing work orders to prioritize tasks.
  • Evaluate facilities, identify improvement needs, and contribute to the 10-year facilities plan.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive organizational presence.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five years of experience in building operations or systems maintenance
  • Relevant experience in facility operations management or maintenance supervision
  • Licensure requirements: Chief Boilers License (within 2 years), Certified Pool Operator (CPO) License (within 1 year), EPA Underground A/B Tank Certification (within 1 year)
