About the position

Responsibilities

• Copyedit manuscripts for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Proofread typeset pages to ensure accuracy and quality of the final product.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to enhance the quality of Spanish literature.
• Maintain a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation in both English and Spanish.
• Provide editorial judgment and feedback on manuscripts and typeset pages.

Requirements

• College graduate or equivalent editorial experience.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish languages, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills for editing and proofreading tasks.
• Editorial judgment and knowledge of writing, translating, editing, and proofreading complexities.
• Strong knowledge of the Bible and evangelical Christian thought.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in publishing or editorial roles related to religious texts.
• Familiarity with various style guides used in publishing.
