About the position

The Assistant Corporate Controller is responsible for corporate financial reporting, supporting the Corporate Controller in financial management, reporting, and compliance tasks. This role involves preparing financial statements, overseeing accounting processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting in strategic financial decision-making. The position requires collaboration with global finance leaders and site controllers to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-K, 10-Q, and 11-K.
  • Coordinate internal and external reviews of financial documents and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting for consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis and direct efficient month-end close processes.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the global balance sheet and drive balance sheet integrity through monthly reviews and reconciliations.
  • Execute internal controls compliance, including Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and evaluate new controls as needed.
  • Research technical accounting issues and provide sound conclusions on complex transactions.
  • Act as the business owner of financial accounting systems and drive the implementation of new technologies for efficiency.
  • Demonstrate and hold the team accountable to Plexus Core Values, focusing on employee development and succession planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the related field, or a Master's degree and 5-7 years of experience.
  • Active CPA license is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience, including 3-5 years in public accounting and extensive financial management experience in a publicly-held organization.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a global business environment is preferred.
  • Pursuing a Master's degree is preferred.
