The Assistant Customer Service Manager at Kroger is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Responsibilities

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
  • Monitor all established quality assurance standards.
  • Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Front-end department.
  • Support the day-to-day functions of the Front-end operations.
  • Assist with the execution of best practices, goals, and Front-end standards.
  • Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the departments.
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department.
  • Manage cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store.
  • Manage the scheduling of Front-end associates for adequate coverage.
  • Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and profit and loss reviews.
  • Collaborate with Front-end associates and promote teamwork.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service or retail management.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to manage cash control and financial reports.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
