About the position
The Assistant Customer Service Team Lead at Price Chopper is responsible for overseeing the Front End operations of the store, ensuring that associates provide fast, friendly, and efficient customer service. This role includes managing customer checkout processes, training staff, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain a high level of service and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest level of customer service and courtesy is provided at all times.
- Oversee the entire Front End operation including customer checkout, bottle return, and cleanliness of the store.
- Train and supervise cashiers, bottle associates, and service clerks.
- Schedule associates and perform administrative duties.
- Maintain cashier controls and security in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure cash controls and over/short policies are adhered to.
- Maintain detailed and accurate cashier log books for audit purposes.
- Assist the Customer Service Manager in maintaining Front End expenses.
- Ensure accurate and efficient ringing of customer orders according to corporate policies.
- Record pricing errors in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Front End operation according to sanitation regulations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Satisfactory Performance Reviews.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic literacy and computer skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years related experience.
