About the position

The Assistant Director of the Business Innovation Section at the FDIC is responsible for leading technology-driven initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions, manage projects, and oversee personnel management within the section.

Responsibilities

• Engage and collaborate with colleagues to identify, develop, and promote technology-driven solutions.
• Manage and coordinate responses to internal and external requests related to technological innovation.
• Develop short- and long-range plans for transformation and innovation.
• Provide vision and perspective on the strategic implications of innovation efforts.
• Facilitate innovation processes by collaborating across the CFOO and partnering with other FDIC divisions.
• Develop and lead proofs of concept and pilots for implementation and adoption.
• Spearhead hands-on experimentation through pilots and prototypes.
• Exercise supervisory personnel management authority, including planning and reviewing work products.
• Identify training and developmental needs for staff and provide regular recognition.
• Ensure equitable execution of EEO, DEIA, and employee development programs.

Requirements

• Experience leading and coordinating projects, including establishing expectations and providing guidance.
• Experience in leading a program that drives information technology innovation and data management.
• Experience developing tailored change management strategies for innovation efforts.
• Experience integrating strategic planning, enterprise architecture, and IT compliance.
• Experience building partnerships and collaborating with key stakeholders.
