About the position

The Assistant Director/Career Readiness Coach at Rollins College is a full-time position focused on guiding students and alumni towards achieving their career goals. This role involves providing personalized career advising, planning and executing career readiness initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders to foster a culture of career readiness on campus. The position reports to the Associate Director of Career Integration and Internships and plays a crucial role in shaping the future careers of students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized career advising to students and alumni.
  • Plan and execute impactful career readiness initiatives and events.
  • Co-lead career development training and workshops for staff and campus communities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive career readiness programming and resources.
  • Co-develop content and maintain resources for career development topics.
  • Partner with campus partners on career integration initiatives.
  • Manage career advising appointments and Career Studio advising.
  • Collect, analyze, and report assessment data related to career advising and initiatives.
  • Participate in local, state, regional, and national organizations for industry knowledge.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and mentor Graduate Assistants and Career Ambassadors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in human resources, counseling, college student personnel, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing and event promotion.
  • Understanding of international student needs and legal issues (OPT/CPT).
