About the position

The Assistant Director of College Partnerships at Muhlenberg College is responsible for developing and managing external partnerships to enhance the College's graduate and continuing education programs. Reporting to the Vice President and Executive Director, this role involves significant travel for meetings with prospective and current partners, focusing on aligning corporate needs with educational offerings. The position aims to drive enrollment growth through strategic partnerships and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Career Center's Director to develop an incentivized employer program for talent pipelines.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential and existing partners.
  • Expand enrollment with existing partner accounts by building connections and developing account-specific plans.
  • Analyze and report corporate outreach efforts, documenting activities and tracking key performance indicators.
  • Negotiate and structure agreements with partners, addressing questions and finalizing contracts.
  • Promote College programs and deliver presentations at client locations.
  • Maintain knowledge of College programs and market trends to inform outreach efforts.
  • Provide market insights to develop academic programs for regional businesses.
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of GCE Admissions on customer needs and account strategies.
  • Engage with professional organizations to evaluate initiatives and promote the College.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proficiency in CRM, MS Office, and G-Suite.
  • Experience in career counseling, fundraising, business development, or B2B sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

  • Experience in higher education or a liberal arts college setting.
  • Strong professional writing and public relations skills.
