About the position

The Assistant Director, Digital Marketing at New York University plays a vital role in enhancing the Annual Giving's mission through digital fundraising initiatives. This position is responsible for growing online fundraising efforts, leading digital marketing strategies, and managing the email marketing platform, Marketo. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to execute campaigns and support NYU's crowdfunding platform, Rising Violets, while promoting a hybrid work environment that encourages work-life integration.

Responsibilities

  • Grow online fundraising and lead Annual Giving digital initiatives.
  • Build digital email campaigns and complex audience segmentation.
  • Engage donors through various digital platforms.
  • Serve as the operational point person for Marketo, the email marketing platform.
  • Support the management and execution of Rising Violets, NYU's crowdfunding platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with digital direct response, marketing, and content management.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in an academic, non-profit and/or development environment.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases such as Advance and Blackbaud.
  • Proven record of increasing revenue through digital channels.
  • Experience in graphic design.
