About the position

The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education at The Goddard School is responsible for providing instructional leadership and support to teaching staff, ensuring high-quality curriculum and classroom management. This role involves fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, coordinating school-wide events, and overseeing staff development. Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource to teaching staff in the areas of curriculum and classroom management
• Provide instructional leadership to all teachers at Goddard
• Review and provide feedback to teachers for lesson plans
• Evaluate and ensure classroom instructional materials are current and in good working order
• Assist in the coordination of staff development
• Work with children, teachers, and parents to foster positive relationships
• Responsible for coordinating school-wide events

Requirements

• BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field OR Texas Director certification
• Willing to work 6:30 PM closing shift
• Prior managerial experience in a preschool setting of at least 100 enrollment (preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team builder
• Commitment to professional development
• Effective skills in all relationships with staff, parents, or children

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the following areas a plus for the ideal candidate: CDL bus license
