About the position

The University of Tampa Office of Admissions is seeking an Assistant Director of Enrollment Management Operations and Communications. Reporting directly to the Director of Enrollment Operations and Communications, this role collaborates closely with the Enrollment Management team, the Communications and Public Affairs office, and other university partners and vendors. The Assistant Director will oversee the strategic and effective communication with both current and prospective students across all stages of the enrollment funnel and student lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in hiring, training, and managing the day-to-day activities of the Communication Coordinator and the Operations and Communications student workforce.
  • Lead the planning, design, implementation, ongoing maintenance, and success measurement of multi-channel enrollment communications, including website content, print materials, direct mail, email campaigns, outbound calling, SMS, social media, and other emerging digital platforms.
  • Serve as Assistant Slate Captain, contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the CRM system and ensuring the smooth execution of updated enrollment processes.
  • Provide auxiliary supervision and management of the Enrollment Call Center, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality and effective service.
  • Partner with the Communications and Public Affairs office to create, curate, and catalog video and digital content that supports the Enrollment communication strategy and enhances the online CRM portal.
  • Oversee departmental public-facing email addresses and SMS communication systems, ensuring the timely and effective processing, routing, and response to incoming inquiries on behalf of the enrollment offices.
  • Coordinate the packing, shipping, and delivery of promotional materials for both on-campus events and off-campus admissions recruitment efforts.
  • Assist in the coordination of event logistics, including managing registration and check-in processes for evening and weekend events as needed.
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Two to four years of professional work experience with proven expertise in communication strategy, digital content creation, and evaluating communication effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in or the ability to quickly learn technical tools, including HTML, CSS, and University of Tampa software programs such as Technolutions Slate, Adobe Experience Manager, Workday, and Microsoft Office.
