About the position

The Assistant Director, Enrollment Operations, plays a crucial role in supporting the enrollment operations for Enrollment Management at Wright State University. This position is responsible for the successful ongoing project management of the university's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, as well as the development, execution, and analysis of mixed-media and data-driven targeted recruitment campaigns. The Assistant Director utilizes a diverse set of software systems, database integrations, and technical operations designed to streamline and optimize admission and enrollment functions. Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations, the Assistant Director supports the implementation of data-informed and systems-based solutions to facilitate outreach, recruitment travel, territory management, recruitment communication, campus visit programming, and reporting and analysis on behalf of the university and the Division of Enrollment Management. In this role, the Assistant Director is tasked with identifying opportunities to leverage current and new technologies for maximum effectiveness in enrollment operations. The position also represents the university at on-campus events, providing advice on a range of admission and enrollment processes to a wide variety of constituents. The Assistant Director is expected to coordinate administrative and technical functions associated with the CRM system, including testing and upgrades, management of system integrations with the university's student information system, and collaboration with campus partners for recruitment and communication initiatives. This role requires a commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds and the ability to interpret federal, state, and institutional rules and regulations. The Assistant Director will also manage the receipt and processing of admissions applications generated by lead delivery services, ensuring the quality, consistency, and integrity of all admissions data and records. This position is essential for maintaining overall efficiency and functionality in operations to ensure that business practices align with institutional enrollment goals. The Assistant Director will provide daily leadership and project management for Enrollment Operations, successfully leading staff through change and growth while preparing and maintaining comprehensive training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Support the enrollment operations for Enrollment Management, including project management for the university's CRM.
  • Develop, execute, and analyze mixed-media and data-driven targeted recruitment campaigns.
  • Utilize software systems and database integrations to streamline admission and enrollment functions.
  • Coordinate administrative and technical functions associated with the CRM system, including testing and upgrades.
  • Monitor workflow processes and oversee the quality, consistency, and integrity of admissions data.
  • Design CRM training plans and documentation for staff.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Communications and Operations staff to support personalized messaging initiatives.
  • Manage the receipt and processing of admissions applications generated by lead delivery services.
  • Support the management of reporting tools, queries, and regular data exports for Enrollment Operations.
  • Provide consultation and resource support for strategic enrollment partnerships.
  • Lead staff through change and growth in Enrollment Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience managing admissions/student data and leveraging it to build reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of admissions practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
