About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six (6) years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Master's Degree.
  • Four (4) years of experience in an academic setting.
  • Knowledge/familiarity with state and federal aid programs and ability to reconcile accounts.
  • Familiarity with Colleague software.
  • Ability to multi-task with varying deadlines and work comfortably with a variety of personalities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the operation and administration of aid programs to comply with Federal, State, and University policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and verifies Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) data tax returns and supplemental documents as required by regulations.
  • Provides key technical support for efficient automation of departmental functions and communication with constituents.
  • Monitors Federal and State regulations to assist in updating financial aid policies and procedures for compliance with Title IV regulations.
  • Coordinates entrance and exit interviews for student loan borrowers regarding loan repayment responsibilities.
  • Monitors information from the Department of Education regarding software changes and alerts staff to unresolved errors.
  • Develops rules, reports, and automated routines to support the management of aid programs.
  • Contributes to effective team management of relevant problems, issues, and opportunities.
