About the position

The Assistant Director of Financial Assistance plays a crucial role in managing financial aid for students at the Fayette campus. This position involves packaging federal, state, and institutional aid, verifying student eligibility, and coordinating the work-study program. The Assistant Director also presents financial aid information to prospective students and families, assists the Director with reports, and takes on the Director's responsibilities in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Package financial aid for Fayette campus students
  • Verify student eligibility for financial aid
  • Correspond with students and parents regarding paperwork via email, phone, and mail
  • Coordinate the work-study program and determine student eligibility
  • Assist the Director in conducting financial aid presentations to prospective students and families
  • Assist the Director with reports related to financial aid
  • Assist the Director with the management of the Financial Aid Office
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of financial aid or higher education administrative experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
