About the position

The Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services at Morrison Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the daily food service operations in a medium to large volume acute care hospital. This role involves managing a team, developing talent, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring profitability while supporting financial goals. The position emphasizes the creation of nutritious food and the implementation of culinary programs, all while fostering excellent relationships with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day food service operations of a hospital food service account.
• Work with the Chef and management team to create nutritious and high-quality food.
• Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
• Maintain excellent relationships with patients and team members.
• Manage, train, and develop associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
• Associate's degree is preferred.
