Brandeis University is delighted to announce a career opportunity as the Assistant Director (AD) in Institutional Research. This position is integral to the university's mission, focusing on overseeing and actively engaging in institutional research projects that respond to the needs of the university. The AD will serve as a mentor and role model for all Institutional Research (IR) staff, guiding them in identifying, designing, and executing research projects that transform raw data into actionable insights. This role requires the creation and management of complex data sets sourced from both internal and external data, ensuring the quality and sustainability of processes within the IR department. The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with the director to identify, design, and execute various research projects, including surveys and data analyses, tailored to institutional needs and client requests from departments such as admissions, student affairs, and facilities. The AD will support academic and administrative leadership by conducting exploratory analyses and presenting quantitative and qualitative findings, employing both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Additionally, the AD will assist in project management, ensuring that the IR team meets external reporting deadlines and responds promptly to internal analysis requests. Mentorship is a key component of this role, as the AD will guide others in developing efficient and repeatable processes to address ongoing data requests. The AD will also contribute to the development of an annual schedule of IR deliverables for the university community, ensuring that the department remains proactive and responsive to the evolving needs of the institution.
