Eckerd College is currently hiring for the position of Assistant Director of Admission for Diverse and Inclusive Recruitment to join the Enrollment Management team at our waterfront property along the Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida, in our relationship-focused community. You will be part of a team that develops relationships with prospective students and their families in the assigned territory and provides information about the application and enrollment process at Eckerd College. Depending on your background and skills, you may start as an Associate Director. As Assistant Director, you will develop relationships with prospective students, families and key admission stakeholders with an eye toward enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion. The position coordinates and manages a recruitment territory, leads the efforts related to the recruitment and awarding of our Diversity Leadership Scholarship as well as the Sunshine City Scholarship and coordinates outreach efforts for underrepresented populations. The position partners with the Director of Admission and others on campus to create and build a recruitment plan that supports Eckerd's strategic pillar of diversity, equity and belonging. Our admission team demonstrates the ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds including faculty, staff, students, prospective students, and families. In doing so, our counselors possess exceptional skills in multiple forms of communication, particularly with regard to public speaking and presenting to both internal and external audiences. The ability to organize and manage your time and schedule effectively is crucial to success in the position. Regular travel to assigned territory is required (7-9 weeks in the fall, 3-5 weeks in the spring) as well as after-hours work to attend admission events on campus. The admission team comprises a highly collaborative group of individuals who are committed to a student-centered admission process based on fit. Professional growth is encouraged through shared responsibilities within the office and in building relationships with other campus departments.
