About the position

The Assistant Director of Admissions at Foundations Behavioral Health plays a crucial role in overseeing the Assessment & Referral and Admitting Department. This position involves supervising staff, contributing to management activities, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The role is essential in providing innovative behavioral health services to children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Assessment & Referral and Admitting Department staff in coordination with the Director.
  • Assist with management activities and meetings to implement and uphold the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Complete initial pre-authorizations reviews with insurances or the appropriate Community Mental Health as needed.
  • Educate and supervise staff in compliance with staff development in-service programs and train new hires.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology required.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical and management experience in a hospital Assessment & Referral Department is required.
