Responsibilities

• Manage media relations and game day media operations for designated sports.
• Oversee digital photography, video streaming, and content creation for UNCWsports.com.
• Handle social media interactions and interview requests related to athletics.
• Maintain updated statistics and historical archives for the athletics department.
• Assist in video streaming of designated sports and support radio and television personnel during live events.
• Convey game results to media and post game stories on UNCWsports.com.
• Support various departmental offices and assist with special events throughout the year.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in athletic communications or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of sports rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in desktop publishing software such as InDesign and Photoshop.
• Ability to shoot and edit video and still photography.
• Experience with graphics platforms like BoxOutSports.com.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a collegiate athletics environment.
