About the position

The position involves providing leadership and oversight of Auxiliary Services at Wake Forest University, ensuring effective delivery of services by external providers in areas such as Dining Services and University Stores. The role includes strategic planning, collaboration with university partners, and administrative oversight of contracts and budgets, while also focusing on sustainability initiatives and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with strategic planning and direction for partnerships in Dining and Stores.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external service providers.
  • Lead interdepartmental collaborations to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor budgets and prepare goals and objectives for each area.
  • Assist with administrative oversight of contract terms and agreements.
  • Coordinate with campus leadership on capital projects.
  • Support special events in collaboration with the University events office.
  • Engage with the university community to address changing access needs.
  • Lead sustainable initiatives in partnership with the Office of Sustainability.
  • Provide oversight and direction to external service providers.
  • Lead meal plan pricing and recommendations for tuition adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
  • Participate in the meal plan appeals process and adjudicate appeals.
  • Represent Hospitality and Auxiliary Services on the Incident Management Team (IMT).
  • Be available for recall after hours for emergencies or special needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management or 3 years of relevant experience in university auxiliary services leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including customer service abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to advance university mission.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Windows.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
