About the position

The Assistant Director of Broadcast Services and Creative Content at Bryant University plays a crucial role in overseeing the development and production of broadcasts for the Bryant Sports Network. This position focuses on managing broadcasts on platforms such as ESPN+, America East TV, and FloSports, while also creating engaging content to promote athletic events. The role requires collaboration with various departments and mentoring students involved in broadcast production.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and production for all broadcasts on the Bryant Sports Network.
• Manage broadcasts on ESPN+, America East TV, and FloSports.
• Create postgame highlight packages for distribution on the website and promoting upcoming events.
• Develop and maintain an archive system of broadcasts for historical purposes.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor students to be part of the broadcast production team.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues with production equipment.
• Work with Athletics Communications and Marketing to create content for Daktronics video boards and score tables.
• Compile end-of-year highlight video for Athletic Awards presentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
• Experience in video editing using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Working knowledge of Daktronics, NewTek, AJT Graphics, Tricaster Switcher, and replay unit.
• Knowledge of lighting, cabling, and equipment management.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong background in video engineering, live streaming support, and electrical connectivity.
• Experience in a problem-solving environment in both technical and creative means for projects.
