About the position

The Assistant Director of Broadcast Services and Creative Content at Bryant University plays a crucial role in overseeing the development and production of broadcasts for the Bryant Sports Network. This position focuses on managing broadcasts on platforms such as ESPN+, America East TV, and FloSports, while also creating engaging content to promote athletic events. The role requires collaboration with various departments and the recruitment and mentoring of student production team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and production for all broadcasts on the Bryant Sports Network, focusing on ESPN+, America East TV, and FloSports.
• Create postgame highlight packages for distribution on the website and promote upcoming events.
• Develop and maintain an archive system of broadcasts for historical purposes.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor students to be part of the broadcast production team, including producers, graphics, camera operators, and broadcast talent.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues with production equipment.
• Work with Athletics Communications and Marketing to create content for Daktronics video boards, promotional videos, team intros, corporate sponsors, and campus facilities.
• Collaborate with campus Communication Department resources.
• Compile end-of-year highlight video for Athletic Awards presentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
• Experience in video editing using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Working knowledge of Daktronics, NewTek, AJT Graphics, Tricaster Switcher, and replay unit.
• Knowledge of lighting, cabling, and equipment management.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong background in video engineering, live streaming support, and electrical connectivity.
• Experience in a problem-solving environment in both technical and creative means for projects.
