We are rural behavioral health specialists integrated in the physical and behavioral health well-being for our staff and consumers. Responsibilities

  • Provide regular communication with skills trainers, oversight of curricula implemented, monitoring coverage plan and ensuring services are covered in the event of staff absence, monitor documentation to ensure medically necessary services are provided, monitor timely documentation and collaborative service goals.
  • Complete client assessments that include intake, evaluating a client's ability to meet the admission criteria for that particular department, identify presenting problem(s), history, medical information, family involvement, psychosocial/psychosexual information, and other pertinent information to form an appropriate clinical impression including substance use/abuse and abuse/neglect.
  • Provide relevant information for updating treatment plans. Treatment plan should accurately reflect the client's needs and ability to meet discharge criteria with goals and objectives that are time limited and behaviorally stated.
  • Maintain contact with primary clinical referral sources to determine needs and use of clinical programs. This information will be disseminated to the appropriate managers/directors to facilitate improved clinical care and community involvement.
  • Plan, develop, establish, and review community-based programs across county to ensure that appropriate services are being provided and there is quality communication interdepartmentally.
  • Supervise and coordinate the programs including staff and budget with activities such as hiring, evaluation and terminating of staff, preparation of annual budget, and provision of clinical support, when necessary.
  • Take proactive measures to ensure efficient and quality clinical services such as review, education, and provide additional training to ensure the highest of quality for relevant programs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A degree in social services, psychology or related mental health field preferred.
  • Must have at least 2 years of full-time employment experience providing direct casework services to children & families that includes providing services to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children.
  • An Associate Degree, High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Must have at least 6 years of full-time employment providing direct casework services to children and families that includes providing services to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children.
  • If degree is in a field other than that previously stated, must have five (5) years of work experience in mental health or social services.
  • Previous experience with case management, skill building, and group therapy or in a group home setting preferred.
  • Experience working with children and adults who demonstrate emotional and psychiatric disturbance and behavioral needs preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License and maintain vehicle insurance requirements per Center policy.
