About the position

The Assistant Director of Integrated Communications & Marketing for Website Information is responsible for managing the University's website and social media presence. This role involves editing, designing, and maintaining public information on the website, as well as developing social media strategies to enhance the University's communication efforts. The position requires collaboration with various campus departments to ensure accurate and engaging content is presented online.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Integrated Communications & Marketing website information manager and social media specialist.
  • Define and execute social media strategies in partnership with communications staff.
  • Generate relevant content while tracking metrics and analyzing trends.
  • Develop and recommend policies governing the public information aspect of the University's website.
  • Collaborate with campus offices and departments to develop and post academic departmental programmatic information.
  • Oversee all aspects of website creation and maintenance, including writing official statements and formatting existing text.
  • Create original graphics and alter existing graphics for web display, ensuring search engine optimization.
  • Organize the official website and its site map.
  • Work under project coordinators to develop and complete specific online projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of professional web design and maintenance experience.
  • Experience with digital publication to web-ready conversions.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Ability to write and edit in accordance with University standards.
  • Ability to produce web-ready publications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, FTP, and web applications, including content management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in higher education communications or marketing.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools for social media and web performance.
