About the position

As the Assistant Director of Marketing and International Student Recruitment for INTO Saint Louis University (SLU), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic planning and execution of international recruitment and marketing initiatives aimed at increasing international student enrollment in both INTO SLU programs and SLU degree-seeking programs. This position is essential in developing a comprehensive recruitment strategy that enhances brand recognition in key global markets, thereby attracting students who are seeking educational opportunities in the United States. You will be responsible for leading a team, including a Recruitment and Marketing Specialist, and will report directly to the Director of Operations and Partner Relations at INTO SLU. Your primary focus will be to create and implement a recruitment plan that encompasses participation in various global recruitment activities such as exhibitions, seminars, and alumni events. This will involve establishing targeted strategies for specific countries and regions in collaboration with INTO's regional offices. You will also be expected to travel internationally to promote SLU and its programs, as well as to attend virtual recruitment events that may occur outside of normal business hours. In addition to recruitment, you will manage the annual recruitment budget, provide regular progress reports, and utilize analytical methods to identify recruitment opportunities. You will also lead conversion campaigns aimed at prospective students, parents, and agents, ensuring that they receive timely and comprehensive information about SLU's offerings. Building and maintaining strong relationships with faculty, admissions, and international offices will be crucial to your success in this role, as will cultivating partnerships with external recruitment channels and organizations. Overall, this position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities, engage with diverse stakeholders, and drive international student recruitment efforts to meet the strategic goals of INTO SLU.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of international recruitment and marketing plans.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment plan targeting key global markets.
  • Establish country-specific strategies in coordination with INTO regional offices.
  • Travel globally to promote SLU and attend recruitment events.
  • Act as the primary contact for INTO's regional office regarding SLU programs.
  • Manage communications with INTO's regional offices.
  • Provide analytics and support for effective recruitment and scholarship strategies.
  • Manage the INTO SLU annual recruitment budget and report on progress.
  • Conduct conversion campaigns to engage prospective students and stakeholders.
  • Manage and oversee student workers and interns supporting recruitment activities.
  • Build relationships across SLU and SLU-Madrid campuses to collaborate on recruitment strategies.
  • Cultivate relationships with US-focused recruitment channels and organizations.
  • Provide training and support to external marketing and recruitment partners.
