About the position

NaphCare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee nursing services at the Arizona Department of Corrections - Eyman Facility in Florence, AZ. This role involves ensuring compliance with clinical processes, managing nursing staff, and responding to medical emergencies. The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts, with pay rates varying based on experience and shift type. Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical processes and systems are followed according to policies and accreditation standards.
  • Utilize ADP eTime and Scheduler™ for staffing schedules and ensure staff training on the Time Stamp function.
  • Monitor compliance with site-specific policies and take corrective action as needed.
  • Coordinate and guide the delivery of the nursing service program, overseeing RNs, LPNs, CNAs/MAs, and EMTs.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and perform continuous CPR until relieved.
  • Conduct daily clinical rounds to review documentation and patient care plans.
  • Assist with daily triage, minor medical procedures, and patient assessments.
  • Participate in disaster plans and emergency preparation.
  • Enforce safety and security policies and participate in safety drills.
  • Collaborate with the HSA and Medical Director to fulfill healthcare delivery requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or RN with two years of experience preferred.
  • Valid RN license in Arizona.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a nursing setting preferred.
  • Active CPR certification.
  • Current tuberculosis documentation.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check.
