About the position
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Amber Manor Care Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Health Services in managing the Nursing Service Department. This position involves planning, organizing, and directing daily functions to ensure high-quality care in compliance with healthcare regulations. The ADON will also participate in quality assurance programs and provide direct nursing care as needed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with the Director of Health Services to help select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team.
- Assists in coordinating nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders to ensure continuity of care.
- Assists in implementing the clinical staffing model.
- Participates in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Prepares for facility surveys and accreditation programs by regulatory agencies.
- Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
- Provides direct nursing care as necessary, including on-call duties.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain a current, valid state RN license.
- Must have current valid CPR certification.
- Education: Associate Degree.
- Experience: 0-1 years.
