About the position
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Signature HealthCARE of Glasgow Rehab & Wellness Center plays a crucial role in managing the nursing department's administrative and functional areas. This position supports the Director of Nursing in ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations while maintaining high-quality care for residents. The ADON is responsible for delegating tasks to Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors, fostering a culture of excellence in nursing practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in the overall operation of the department in accordance with company policies and standards of nursing practices and government regulations.
- Delegate to the Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse in good standing with required current state license.
- Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
- One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have a current/active CPR certification.
